This was based on a photo I took while with my boys at a playground when they were a little younger. The focus was to celebrate the colors that happened as the sun said its last goodnights. Gouache on paper, 4 x 6 inches.

Study in Grobv
This was an experiment in painting with a limited palette consisting of green, red-orange, and blue-violet. Some yellow snuck in from the old painting underneath, and I cheated with a little blue. Gouache on illustration board, 5 x 7 inches.
Cocky
We were walking around admiring the barn, taking photos, and dodging chickens and roosters. Wouldn’t it be great to be able to feel that sort of confidence that’s displayed in the strut? Gouache on paper, 6 x 4 inches.
