A bit of my soul dripped into the paint when working on this piece. It is more true to what a summer night feels like. The cool of an evening, mischief with friends, and the stars dancing overhead. In private collection. Oil on gessoed board, 22 x 28 inches.

Sunset at Shoshone
I loved how the light was just hitting a few parts of Shoshone Falls. I started this plein air while painting with Tim and Nasan and did a few touch-ups at home. Oil on gessoed board, 10×8 inches.
Last Light
Tim and I were chasing the last bit of light after a fun day painting in the Bingham Arts Plein Air Paint Out. It was exciting to find this fun 4×6-inch gouache piece on my paper when we could see well enough. Gouache on watercolor paper, 4×6 inches.
West Wall, Lake Cleveland
Had a blast with my Dad in March. We hiked from Pomerelle’s second lot to Lake Cleveland and back on snowshoes with the sunburns to prove it. And I got a little painting time in! Our sunburns have faded but we’re thinking of getting at least one more hike in. In private collection. Gouache on watercolor paper, 6×4 inches.
Portrait practice from the sketchbook
Here’s a head study from the ol’ sketchbook. An elegant woman, I hope I did her justice. It is freeing sometimes to paint in the sketchbook where there isn’t pressure to show the results. In sketchbook, gouache on paper about 7 x 6 inches.
